Training the next generation
Hertford RFC encourages sportsmanship, healthy lifestyles, fitness and nutrition, respect, teamwork and discipline whilst ensuring all have fun.
We encourage success and some of our past juniors have gone on to play at the highest level.
Jamie George (Saracens) - the current England, British and Irish Lion and Rugby World Cup Finalist was one of our Juniors.
Robbie Morris (England, Northampton, Newcastle and Connacht) and James Storey (Harlequins, London Welsh, Neath, Ospreys, Munster, London Irish) were both first class players who started out at HRFC and who played at an elite level and are still involved with Club coaching – so who knows where our next successful youngster will be playing!

A vibrant club
Hertford RFC is a vibrant Club with over 20 teams across 11 age groups from U6 to U16, two academy teams (17-18 year olds) and five senior teams with our first XV playing in the London and South East Premier League.
We have an active membership of over 2,000 and together with their families, friends, guests and visiting Clubs, our footfall is over 8,000 individual visitors per month.
Additionally, we host annual festivals with over 5,000 visitors over each 2-day event.

Hertford Rugby Football Club’s website is the hub of Club communication and the central information resource for all members and visitors.
It has over 140,000 page views per annum, more than 60,000 unique website visits per annum, and it is recognised as one of the 15 busiest in the RFU Community Clubs nationwide.

Local community
Giving back to the local community is very important to the Club. Each year we train over 20 new coaches and referees of all ages; and we send members onto the excellent RFU Leadership Course.
We are inclusive, diverse and maintain the highest safeguarding and anti-bullying standards and we are proud of our record on these issues.
